Subject:  CABINET-2 PIECE CABINET CONSTRUCTION

When the unit requires 2-piece cabinet construction:

Unless impossible keep all refrigeration in one half of the unit. Blow through DX is acceptable.

Inform the wiring department early in the process that the unit is to be split. Special "plug together" connectors are available, and make field wiring connections at the split much easier. These are not called out on the bill of material, and require time to obtain.

If the unit is to be shipped as one piece, but rigged in two pieces, use only as many bolts as necessary to

ship the unit. Remember, these bolts have to be removed before rigging. Ship the remaining bolts as an "item shipped separately". Installing only as many bolts as necessary should be an item called out on the special engineering in the production package.
