Subject: (4) CABINET—REMOTE TERMINAL ACCESS
Terminal and power field connections are not always located in the control panel section (this occurs most frequently on replacement equipment). Often, the control panel is in an entirely different section of the unit so that we have sufficient space to mount components. When this occurs, the access to the field connections should be through a screw-on panel, usually approximately 24" square. This allows the required one-time access for field wiring of the unit. Thereafter, there is no need to access these connections. The screw-on panel should be labeled "Field wiring connection".
