The standard drive selection for Seasons-4 is a two belt drive system. On small horsepower drives, single belt drives may be used where the drive selection program will not give two-drive selection with a service factor or 2.0 or less. Drive selections higher than 2.0 will cause premature bearing failure and should not be selected. For larger HP selections, try to select a two or three belt drive if possible. The alignment of the pulley and sheave become more difficult as the number of belts increases, especially on drive systems with an adjustable motor sheave.
The standard belt selection for Seasons-4 is type BP or BX belts. The type BP and BX are the most commonly available belts for field replacement and have the largest selection of sizes. Type A belts are a lighter duty belt and should not be selected. On larger HP drives, you may need to use type CP, CX, or 5V belts to minimize the number of belts.
