I wanted to send out an update on our accumulators. We will continue to following the rules listed below.  I took care of quite a few jobs that were in production, but I want to make sure that all of you are continuing to make these update to jobs as you are creating the production packages, bills of materials and submittals. We want to use these rules on any unit where we can to reduce the demand on the accumulators until things hopefully settle down with Westermeyer.

Also (this part is new), if we do find ourselves completely out of the accumulators, we will remove accumulators as needed. We will not delay any equipment due to lack of availability of accumulators. Any time this situation arises, please get with me to review.

We will ELIMINATE accumulators on any PC or RA circuits with the following EXCEPTIONS:

  • We will continue to provide accumulators for any tandem or 50% hot gas reheat circuit on any split system.

  • We will continue to provide accumulators on any circuit with 50% hot gas reheat.

  • We will continue to provide accumulators on any DEHUMIDIFICATION circuit with a tandem compressor.

  • We will continue to provide accumulators on any water cooled system with tandem compressors.

This will apply to all Supermarket customers, including Publix. This will start immediately and will be retroactive on everything in Production that has not started in piping. You will begin to see emails from me for specific factory orders detailing the changes required.
