Subject: (2) CONTROLS---AIRFLOW SWITCH
An airflow proving switch is required in each air handler. We have had instances where the customer requests the proving of airflow through the use of a current transformer, which measures current draw to the fan motor. If a customer requests this (or any other) means of proving airflow other than an airflow proving switch, call out an airflow proving switch in addition to the other device. The standard airflow proving switch will be wired in series with the device requested by the customer.
