Email from Jack Murray (1/10/20)

We have been asked about using Magnetic switches instead of the roller arm switches (telemecanique), specifically when we have doors that open into the unit.

When we use magnetic door switches, we will use the Honeywell/Ademco model 960 (24V switch, 100mA). A 24VAC circuit must be used and wired thru the switch contacts in series to a 24Vac pilot relay. We will then use the contacts from the pilot relay to break the circuit to the120V UV Lights, shutdown relay and alarm input to the ALC Module, etc.

If you are going to use a switch to break the 120VAC, you must use the Telemecanique roller arm switch.

Additionally, All the door switches it a unit should use the same type of switch.
