Basic Ebtron Info

Ebtron airflow monitoring stations (AFMS) are typically mounted on the OA intake damper when specified.  The GTA116-PC model is the standard for S-4.  An AFMS uses a series of probes and sensors to measure the aiflow through the damper.  (ADD MORE TECHNICAL INFO HERE - TDM; 1/22/20).

Ordering Info

When ordering an Ebtron AFMS, you must send the design info to Purchasing, so they can add details to the P.O. and relay the info to Ebtron.  When ordering, you must include:

  • Damper Size (width x height).
    • Note: This is total damper size if more than one damper are used for a single AFMS.
    • E.G. 48" x 60" toal size for two (2) individual 24" x 60" dampers.
  • Mounting Type (e.g. Stand-off mounting).
  • Wire Length (e.g. 25')
  • Maximum Airflow (CFM) thru Damper.
  • Face Velocity (FPM) thru Damper @ Max CFM.
  • Drawing showing the location of the AFMS in the unit.
  • Job Location (i.e city, state).
  • Seasons-4 Part Number(s)

When ordering the AFMS, it is prefered that Ebtron determines the required number of probes and sensors.  Our part number descriptions will not show this info for all future new P/N setups.  Any existing P/N that has the correct damper size for your application can be used, but it is recommended that any detail describing the number or probes, sensors and wire length be removed from the exsting P/N descriptions.  Ask Purchasing to make this change before issuing the P.O.

It is possible to use a single AFMS for multiple OA intake dampers (e.g. OA intake dampers on each side of the unit).  If this is the case, Ebtron must be notified that the AFMS will be used on more than one damper, so they can determine the correct number of probes and sensors.

Also, make certain the requested wire length is adequate to run from the probes to the location of the AFMS controller.  If the unit's control panel is a relatively far distance away from the AFMS probes, a separate panel is installed for the AFMS controller.

Robert,

For FO #D415, we are ordering three Ebtron airflow station. I have listed the S4 part numbers, airflows, damper sizes, and velocities on the table below.

Each airflow station will measure ONE outdoor air intake dampers. The OA intake damper sizes are listed on the table above for each unit.

FYI: we may have ordered these part numbers in the past, but the design and orientations may be different than the requirements for this job.

Please have Ebtron design the GTA116 system with the appropriate number of probes and sensors for each unit. The probes will have stand-off mounting. We need 25’ wire length. Attached are the unit drawings showing the locations of the dampers and the station locations are still being finalized but will be within 25’ . If more information is required, please let me know. Thanks for the help.
