Subject: Humidifier Piping for Plant Steam (Dri-Steem grid, no generator by Seasons-4)

All,

See the attached drawing per our discussion in the last engineering meeting regarding steam piping for humidifier. As we discussed, the Y-strainer and modulating valve must be located within 3 feet of the grid per Dri-Steem. The Y-strainer and control valve should be at the same height or higher as the steam grid inlet to avoid water lock in the line. This drawing also includes some additional notes for mounting of the control valve and the Y-strainer (see also below). Please note that the Y-strainer should be mounted horizontally with the cleanout to the side rather than pointed down as we do for water piping.

Victor did an excellent job pulling all of this information together, so we should be able to refer to this drawing for future projects.
