Subject: (9) DESIGNING UNITS USING SECTIONS---REVISED

We have been following a procedure that says "duplicate units that we have done in the past wherever you can". Effective immediately, there is a change to this directive: Duplicate units that we have done in the past wherever you can as long as they were done in standard sections/cabinets. When working on new units (Supermarkets & EES) all cabinets should be designed using standard sections (width, height and length) even if we have done the exact same unit in the past in non­standard sections. Do not duplicate any more non-standard section units. If, due to a specific job requirement, you must deviate from the standard, I need to review the design and the reason for it in advance. The "Improved Single Path" catalog and the "Dual Path" catalog are available, as well as the internal catalog. The EES sections are also established. Any new Supermarket units (ones that do not exist in the internal catalog) must be reviewed by David Ament or me and must be given to Saibal Sengupta for addition to the internal catalog. By following this procedure, we can minimize the number of new designs and when a new design is required, it will be recorded.
